Educational Advocacy
Online or in-person, advocacy services to help navigate meetings for your child. The Neura consultant will provide support in school meetings to help facilitate child-centered solutions. Parents may wish to have someone with educational experience attend meetings with them such as 504, IEP, RTI or special education eligibility meetings. It is helpful to have someone in your corner who is solely focused on you child’s needs.
Educational Consultation
Online or in-person, consultative services to help parents learn how to advocate for their child. This includes the Neura consultant reviewing the child’s educational file and providing the parent with a plan. Educational consulting may also be helpful when a child is transitioning from one educational setting to the next such as private school. The consultant can help guide school planning decisions and setting up support for the student as they transition.
Educational Assessment
Educational assessment can provide an in-depth look at a child’s academic skills to determine if they have skill-based deficits. This assessment is helpful for tutors and school teams to guide explicit instruction the student may need. The assessment is targeted to the student’s needs and may include normative and curriculum-based measures. A report with recommendations will be provided.
Dyslexia Screening
This assessment provides information regarding a student’s educational profile with an emphasis on the areas of psychological processing and academic areas that are typically impacted when a student is dyslexic. This screen measure allows parents to understand if their child is showing characteristics of Dyslexia or at-risk for a reading disability.
